    Description

    Duties:

    This position encompasses responsibility for manufacturing support on the shop floor, production methods and standards, product design, research and development, preparing CAD files and special cost estimates.

    The primary responsibility of this position is for the technical processes related to manufactured product.

    To qualify as a Manufacturing Engineer an individual must be able to perform all of the following:

    Responsibilities:
    Update current production/tooling methods to improve efficiency/performance where applicableDevelop methods/ processes for new products and manufacturing techniquesEvaluate manufacturing standards and update and/or revise as necessaryDesign and develop special fixturing, tooling and equipment to handle new and existing products and/or modifications to affect cost reductionsAssist the sales department in developing quotations relative to new products or manufacturing techniquesOversee the manufacturing processes and follow jobs through the shop to assist with trouble shooting and ensure quality standards are metPerform all other duties and assignments as required including those when reassigned or transferred and regardless of whether duties are related to his/her normal duties

    Qualifications Required:
    A Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related Engineering degreeMinimum of 1-2 years' experience in a related positionStrong computer skills including Auto CAD, SolidWorks, Microsoft Office and other related personal computer applicationsGood communication skills both written and verbalStrong analytical skillsStrong project management skills

    Qualifications Desired:

    CNC programming, G-code programmingSix Sigma or Black Belt Certification a plusWorking knowledge of punch presses and fabricating equipmentLean Manufacturing and Six Sigma techniques and methodologiesWorking knowledge of welding applications and techniquesWorking knowledge of fabrication of various types of materialsWorking knowledge of stamping tools and techniquesWorking knowledge of O.S.H.
