    Description

    LHH is recruiting for a Structural Engineer in the Portland, OR market. The Structural Project Engineer is integral to designing aluminum and steel vessels. The ideal candidate has a background in the marine industry and experience working with government contracts.

    Responsibilities and skills:

    • Design vessel structures to specifications and create necessary models and drawings.
    • Loft and nest vessel parts for CNC cutting.
    • Perform structural calculations.
    • Support estimators and production personnel.
    • Maintain engineering block library and standards.
    • Proficiency in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, Rhino, Ship Constructor, and Microsoft Office Suite.
    • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
    • Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
    • Bachelor's degree in engineering required, preference for Naval Architecture/Marine Engineering.
    • Five (5) years of experience required, with familiarity with relevant regulations preferred.
