Job Summary:
We're seeking a Network Security Engineer with a strong background in network security. This position is focused on safeguarding our network infrastructure. The role involves implementing security measures, managing firewall systems, and ensuring compliance with security policies.
Additionally, you will leverage AI-driven tools and techniques to enhance our security posture, automate threat detection, and improve response strategies.
Responsibilities:
Implement and manage Cisco Firepower Firewalls to protect the network against threats and unauthorized access.
Design and maintain robust network security measures, including secure VPN and remote access solutions.
Implement URL filtering and web proxy services to defend against malicious online content.
Deploy and manage a Zero Trust security framework using tools like 802.1x and Cisco ISE.
Develop, enforce, and monitor compliance with network security policies, utilizing SIEM tools for ongoing security assessments.
Collaborate with network teams and department leaders to align security initiatives with organizational goals.
Provide technical support for network security issues, prioritizing and resolving them based on business impact.
Proactively monitor and report on network security status and potential vulnerabilities.
Mentor and provide guidance to junior network security staff.
Stay abreast of the latest developments in network security technologies and practices.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
At least 5 years of experience in network security roles.
Strong knowledge and experience with Cisco Firepower Firewalls and Zero Trust frameworks.
Familiarity with network security protocols, VPN configurations, and intrusion prevention systems.
Proficiency in using SIEM tools for security monitoring and compliance.
Experience with SD-WAN and various cloud network security tools.
