    Position Overview:

    The Wiring Technician Specialist will focus on the precise wiring of test fixture products, ensuring adherence to departmental procedures and company policies.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Interpret manufacturing requirements, specifications, and procedures while providing valuable feedback to customers, engineers, and account managers.
    • Read schematics and wire lists to perform accurate technical wiring; offer recommendations where applicable.
    • Execute manual assembly tasks, including crimping, soldering, and stripping wire.
    • Conduct testing operations using tools like Digital Multimeters and Cirrus Testers to confirm correct wiring of fixtures.
    • Complete and maintain all required documentation prior to the delivery of test fixtures.
    • Log any deviations and modifications from original designs.
    • Engage in continuous process improvement efforts.
    • Ensure timely and accurate reporting of work hours and inspection records.
    • Assemble, wire, and troubleshoot both modular products and larger test platforms.
    • Deliver projects on schedule and with a focus on quality.

    Qualifications:

    • Associate degree in electronics or a related field is required.
    • Five or more years of experience in wiring for electronic or electromechanical products is needed.
    • IPC J-STD-001 and IPC A-620 certifications are preferred.

    Essential Skills:

    • Strong manual soldering and manipulation skills.
    • Ability to read and understand wiring diagrams, schematics, and specifications.
    • Proficiency in following both written and verbal instructions.
    • Familiarity with CAD and Solidworks for interpreting drawings.
    • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word.
    • Experience with bench-top laboratory equipment and soldering tools.
    • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and security of intellectual property.
    • Ability to work well in a team and demonstrate good interpersonal skills.
    • Dedication to achieving high-quality project outcomes with minimal supervision.
    • Adaptability to a fast-paced work environment and managing multiple priorities.
    • Willingness to work additional hours during peak demand periods.

    Physical Requirements:

    • Work in a manufacturing setting with exposure to various environmental factors.
    • Ability to stand, bend, reach, and twist for extended periods.
    • Capability to use manual and electric tools effectively.
    • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.

    Compensation encompasses an hourly base rate, with performance-based profit sharing. The salary range is between $24 and $28 per hour, reflecting full earning potential in this role.
