    About the role

    In this role, you will be a member of the Regulatory Legal team responsible for providing legal advice on the company's activities and maintaining the regulatory change management process. As part of a legal team with 200 attorneys and paraprofessionals, your focus will be on protecting the enterprise and ensuring compliance with relevant law and regulations.

    What you will be doing



    • Provide a variety of general corporate and regulatory compliance legal advice to colleagues across the organization.

    • Develop and implement strategies and a process to ensure the company's compliance with legal and regulatory changes.


    • Collaborate with cross-functional areas to render opinions and advice regarding the applicability and interpretation of federal and state laws, rules, and regulations.

    • Handle regulatory inquiries.

    • Coordinate legal matters handled by outside counsel.

    What you will need


    • A Juris Doctor from an accredited US law school and license to practice law in at least one US jurisdiction.

    • At least 7 years' experience with laws and regulations applicable to service providers and banking institutions, including consumer financial protection laws.


    • Proven ability to review and evaluate multi-faceted issues and counsel business, legal, and compliance colleagues on complex legal questions relating to various regulatory and compliance matters.


    • Familiarity and experience with regulators a plus.


    • Previous in-house experience a plus.


    • Experience implementing a regulatory change management process a plus.

    • Previous fintech or regulatory experience a plus.

    FIS is committed to providing its employees with an exciting career opportunity and competitive compensation. The pay range for this full-time position is $145, $245,120.00 and reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for this position based on the posted role, level, and location. Within the range, actual individual starting pay is determined additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Any changes in work location will also impact actual individual starting pay. Please consult with your recruiter about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
