BBL Freight, Inc. is a rapidly growing freight brokerage and international logistics company seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to oversee daily financial operations, billing accuracy, and cash flow management.
This role is critical to maintaining financial discipline as we scale operations across domestic truckload, drayage, and international freight forwarding.
The ideal candidate understands high-volume transportation accounting, carrier payments, customer invoicing, and working within a fast-paced logistics environment.
Key Responsibilities
Accounting & Financial Operations
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations
- Oversee Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable processes
- Ensure customer invoices are issued accurately and timely
- Monitor carrier payment approvals and settlements
- Reconcile factoring transactions and funding reports
- Maintain general ledger accuracy
- Perform monthly close and financial reporting
Freight & Logistics Accounting
- Review load profitability and margin reporting
- Validate billing vs carrier costs
- Work alongside Operations and Accounting teams to resolve discrepancies
- Monitor aging reports and collections performance
- Assist with audit preparation and compliance
Process Improvement
- Improve accounting workflows and automation
- Help implement scalable financial controls
- Support integration between TMS systems and accounting platforms
- Identify cost leakage and revenue protection opportunities
Qualifications
- 5+ years accounting experience
- Experience in freight brokerage, logistics, or transportation preferred
- Strong understanding of AR/AP management
- Experience working with factoring companies preferred
- Proficiency in QuickBooks or similar accounting systems
- Advanced Excel or Google Sheets skills
- Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to manage deadlines in a high-volume environment
