Job Summary:

In this role as Automotive Dismantler, you will process incoming vehicles, prepare them for the yard and perform dismantling procedures.

Automotive Dismantler

• Specific Job Duties:Intake the new vehicles into the yardRemove harmful components from the cars to prepare them for the yardRemove all top/bottom fluids and capture and store in the proper storage containersRemove batteries, mercury switches and Freon.

Store according to environmental requirementsLoosen tire lug nuts for tire removal. Identifying top grade tires and wheel sets for retail salesEnsure all garbage and non-sellable items are removed from the vehiclesSort all recycled material from landfill materialMark all vehicles properly according to procedure after removal of fluids, parts and trashPrep and clean yard rows for setting - Safely set vehicles in the customer yardOperate forklift to place cars for safe customer accessRemove identified auto parts, cores, metals and materials from vehiclesMaintain tools and equipment used to perform the job, reporting missing or damaged tools or equipment to the supervisorAutomotive Dismantler- Required Skills & Qualifications:Able to use auto dismantling equipment / operate tools - hand tools, pneumatic tools, fluid evacuation machines, hand pumpsAble to lift tires and batteries weighing up to 50 lbsReliable transportation to work and reliability to arrive on time and work a consistent scheduleMust be able to read, write, and speak EnglishBilingual Spanish (desired, not required)

Previous experience with auto production, vehicle dismantling, auto yard (desired, not required)Experience operating a forklift (desired, not required)Automotive Dismantler - Pay:
