POSITION TITLE: Lifeguard
DATE: January 2026
REPORTS TO: Aquatic Supervisor
LOCATION: Middle School
FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt

POSITION GOAL:  Provide swim lessons/ private or group to children of all levels and abilities based on the curriculum provided.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. This position is responsible for the safety of the swim participants
2. Work hours as scheduled
3. Submits completed time on time
4. Attends mandatory meetings and training sessions as scheduled
5. Act immediately and appropriately to secure safety of patrons in the event of emergency.
6. Presents professional appearance and attitude at all times, and maintains a high standard of customer service.
7. All other duties as assigned and appropriate.

QUALIFICATIONS:
To successfully perform this position, a person must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The qualification requirements listed below represent minimum levels of educational achievement, training, skill and/or ability necessary.

1. American Red Cross Lifeguarding, First Aid, CPR & AED
2. Ability to positively interact with the general public.
3. Submission of PA School Personnel Health form.
4. Current Act 34, Act 151 and Act 114 clearances.

TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT:
1.Days and times vary
2.Starting Rate- $12.50 per hour
3.Salary and benefits according to the negotiated agreement between the Board of School Directors
