CWM is looking for a talented, motivated, and experienced Project Manager to support our Structures team. In this position, you will support and manage construction engineers and superintendents on project teams.

You will support CWM operations managers to build, assess, and maintain bridges and other structures on transportation projects in the metro Atlanta market.

In addition to the above, you may be asked to manage major segments, containing bridge(s) and/or wall(s), on larger construction projects.

You may also be asked to manage entire structures-dominant construction projects in the $1M to $20M range.

As a Structures Project Manager, you will be tasked with:

Leading the construction of a wide range of bridges, retaining walls, and other transportation structures from planning through completion.
Working with other professionals, clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and third parties as required.
Writing technical memos and reports to communicate your work.

Supervising, coordinating, and reviewing the work of other construction engineers and managers—including technical reports, cost estimates, specifications, contract documents, quality, safety, and schedules.

Providing technical oversight during construction to other construction engineers and managers – including mentoring team members.
Overseeing the planning and management of projects, so that they are completed on schedule and within budget.

The right candidate is a versatile and creative thinker who can support and lead teams of engineers and superintendents to provide practical solutions to complex problems.

The candidate must have the following experience:

7-12 years of construction engineering and project management experience, with an emphasis on bridges and transportation structures.
Preferred Civil Engineering or Construction Management degree.

Demonstrated capability to support and lead construction teams, plan, and manage resources to deliver assignments within the required schedules and assigned budgets.

A team player who is self-motivated and able to manage multiple responsibilities in a dynamic, interdisciplinary environment.
Strong verbal, written, and graphical communication skills.
A thorough understanding of structural construction in reinforced concrete, shoring, prestressed concrete, and structural steel.
Experience managing teams of field or office engineers, and or management of transportation projects in the $2-50M range.
Field experience, and especially direct management of crews, is highly desired.
Proficiency in software such as Bluebeam, Viewpoint, P6 & Heavy bid is highly desired.

Experience with design-build delivery as well as other aspects of highway construction such as utilities, grading and drainage, concrete flatwork/paving & asphalt paving is preferred.
