- Holds current Maine Department of Education Criminal History Records Check
- Holds appropriate Maine Department of Education/State Certification
- Maintain current knowledge and understanding of theory, methods, techniques, and strategies within the field of social work.
- Conduct psychosocial evaluations.
- Develop appropriate treatment plans.
- Contribute at student meetings and staff/family meetings as necessary.
- Act as liaison for teachers, families and administration as necessary.
- Facilitate, directly or indirectly, contacts of families and other community-based agencies as necessary.
- Participate in the development of risk assessments and behavior management plans. Assist in implementing behavior management plans and participate in student crisis management as necessary.
- Assure appropriate measures are taken to preserve the confidentiality of students and their families.
