Job summary
The Mill Machinist works independently and provides guidance to others. It is an advanced‐level machinist responsible for highly complex setups, machining large or unique components, developing work holding strategies, and mentoring others.This role requires mastery of CNC machining, rigging, inspection, and problem-solving. Machinist employees frequently lead technical initiatives and ensure safe efficient machining practices across the shop.
- Plan perform and/or create safe efficient setups for very complex or unique parts.
- Masterfully run multiple machine families optimizing performance cycle times.
- Lead troubleshooting on challenging machining or tooling issues.
