    Schedule:
    Fulltime. MRI Coverage day shifts with rotation through the weekend and overnights as well. 7am-7pm daytime /weekend and 7p-7am overnight.

    Responsibilities

    Operate a scanner to obtain images used to diagnose and treat of pathologies.
    Prepare and position patients and selects anatomic and technical parameters accurately to produce cross-sectional images of the body.
    Perform patient pre-screening, scheduling, and education related to the examination.

    Enter and monitor patient data, transfers images from disk to magnetic media to produce the transparency, and develops film in an automatic processor.

    Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.

    Ensure prompt submission of high-quality of all images and documents sent to PACS (image quality, correct lead markers and patient data/history).

    Ensure equipment is properly functioning. Report potential problems or equipment malfunction to appropriate personnel.

    Assist in maintaining a clean, and orderly department to include procedure rooms, storage areas, dressing rooms, film storage area and any other areas in department.

    Requirements


    Licensure / Certification / Registration:
    BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

    One or more of the following required:
    American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Registered Technologist in Radiography R.T.(R)(ARRT) required within one year of transfer or hire date.

    American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Registered Technologist in Magnetic Resonance Imaging R.T.(MR)(ARRT) required within one year of transfer or hire date.

    Must be in good standing or registry eligible.

    Cardiographic Tech credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date.

    Medical Sonographer credentialed from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date.


    Education:


    High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

    Additional Preferences

    ARRT licensed in MRI or experience in MRI preferred.
