    What You'll Do:

    Researches and analyzes Office for Exceptional Children (OEC) operations, systems and procedures to determine where necessary improvements are needed (, measures and evaluates work flow in OEC work units, ensures compliance with state, federal, agency &/or program rules & regulations):

  • gathers, organizes and analyzes data created prior, during and following monitoring activities of local education agencies;
  • provides staff with applicable data files needed to complete appropriate monitoring activities [, MAR (management assistant reviews), selective, desk review, gifted education];
  • provides State Performance Plan (SPP) / Annual Performance Report (APR) indicators and participates on the SPP/APR writing team;
  • manages OEC database to support office operations (, IDEA Monitoring, Procedural Safeguards, Autism Scholarship, BYRD, TRAC, STARS);
  • plans, organizes and implements system analysis; assists and develops new processes and procedures to increase office efficiency and effectiveness;
  • analyzes existing systems/processes;
  • prepares comprehensive written reports summarizing findings and recommendations for new systems/processes based on analysis;
  • trains office personnel on implementation of new systems/processes; generates statistical reports for office and center leadership to aide in decision making;
  • manages office website product and production;
  • participates on and provides feedback to the Comprehensive Continuous Improvement Plan (CCIP) team;
  • attends meetings and provides technical assistance to internal and external CCIP users and/or grant consultants.
  • assists with preparation of biennial agency budget documents;
  • assists in creating guidance documents for office programs;
  • analyzes the submission of program performance reports for all office discretionary projects;
  • summarizes findings for projects;
  • assists in the collection, analysis and reporting of data for all federally and state funded projects;
  • analyzes information from regional providers, school district personnel and parents;
  • reports summary to office leadership.
  • Performs other duties as assigned:

  • collaborates with other offices and participates on agency committees;
  • attends staff meetings and training sessions.

  • Qualifications

    2 yrs. trg. or 2 yrs. exp. in research & analysis & written documentation of findings.

    -Or completion of undergraduate core program in business or public administration or related field of study.

    -Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above.
