General Labor Worker
Location: Mobile, Alabama
Job Type: Full-Time / Project-Based
Industry: Property Services / Residential & Commercial Painting
Position Overview
We are seeking dependable and motivated General Labor Workers to support residential and commercial painting operations throughout the Mobile, AL area. This position plays a critical role in surface preparation, job site organization, and assisting skilled painters to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and to professional standards.
This role requires physical stamina, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare residential units and commercial spaces for painting
- Patch small holes, repair minor drywall damage, and caulk surfaces
- Scrape, sand, and remove loose paint
- Protect floors, fixtures, appliances, and surfaces before painting
- Remove and reinstall switch plates and cover plates
- Assist with interior and exterior painting projects
- Support power washing operations (exterior projects)
- Maintain clean and organized job sites
- Dispose of debris in accordance with safety standards
- Follow all workplace safety guidelines and site requirements
- Work across multiple properties as assigned
Qualifications
- Previous construction, maintenance, or painting experience preferred
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds regularly
- Ability to stand, bend, climb, and perform physical labor throughout the workday
- Reliable transportation to job sites in Mobile and surrounding areas
- Ability to work Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM
- Strong work ethic and punctuality
- Ability to follow direction and work in a team setting
Preferred Experience
- Drywall repair
- Basic painting knowledge
- Power washing
- General property maintenance
Work Environment
This position involves both indoor and outdoor work environments, including occupied and vacant residential units. Workers must be comfortable working on ladders, handling tools and materials, and maintaining productivity in varying weather conditions for exterior projects.
