    Description

    Strategic Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning (SIOP) Analyst

    The Strategic SIOP Analyst is a consultant role responsible for developing and implementing an effective SIOP process for ForeOptics' clients in the Aerospace sector. It requires an experienced S&OP professional able to facilitate and drive results in a fast paced and demanding environment, leveraging their strong interpersonal and leadership skills. This objective is to implement SIOP to improve delivery, customer satisfaction, and working capital. This is an on-site, customer-facing consultant role based in Huntsville, AL.

    The ideal candidate will have deep experience with hands-on planning and analysis in a complex aerospace manufacturing environment, SIOP/IBP design and implementation, ERP/MRP systems and supply chain network planning, training teams and organizational development, and overall business process transformation.

    Essential Functions

    • This role focuses on designing and implementing a comprehensive SIOP program for the assigned client and client scope including all phases of a standard SIOP process
    • Execute all facets of the SIOP process to provide an optimum customer service level and working capital performance as defined by the organization's business operating plans and strategic objectives.
    • Partner with Business Units, Sales, Finance and Operations to ensure a consensus planning process delivers an agreed-upon volume forecast and achievable plan-of-record; ensure gaps and overlaps are addressed, scenarios are completed, and issues appropriately escalated to meet business objectives.
    • Collaborate with Business Management, Engineering, Supply Chain, Operations and Finance to ensure that the appropriate information is available and accurate to be reviewed through the SIOP process meetings and establish the SIOP plan-of-record.
    • Lead/Co-lead the SIOP management reviews, prepare all data and metrics for review, identify gaps and scenarios that must be presented, guide final decision making on open items and trade-offs, and prepare escalations for executive review where appropriate.
    • Recommend optimal inventory levels at various locations across the supply chain and support the proactive management of those levels in order to achieve targeted customer satisfaction as well as mitigate inventory exposure.
    • Analyze supply and demand issues and facilitate resolution throughout the supply chain.
    • Assist in quantifying and defining scope for capacity, resource, logistics, and supply chain planning.
    • Evaluate supplier delivery performance and capability, building into the SIOP process risk mitigating approaches to manage suppler performance variation.
    • Maintain forecasts and manage links between systems for forecasting, master production scheduling, inventory management and production planning/management.
    • Share and model "best practice" methods, processes and ideas across the business to drive continuous improvements in all aspects of SIOP.
    • Work to reduce the cost of sales and operations planning, recommending improvements to procedures, contracts and agreements.
    • Recommend and design KPIs, dashboards, and other management operating system elements depicting Supply Chain and Operations process health/risk areas to foster efficient communication, escalations, and root-cause corrective actions
    • Support training through material development, delivery, and retention assessment as well as coaching client team members
    • Work dynamically to support the immediate short-term needs of the client with interim solutions while concurrently working to establish the long-term solution

    • Strong experience and expertise in successfully installing a successful SIOP process in a complex manufacturing environments including requirements gathering, process design, training, implementation, and process maturity.

    Required Education, Experience, Licenses

    · Bachelor's degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain or Engineering preferred

    · Five (5) years' experience in a manufacturing Planning, Supply Chain or Operations role required

    · Three (3) years' experience being directly involved in successful SIOP programs

    · Experience in Aerospace & Defense strongly preferred

    · Two (2) years' experience in a consulting role preferred

    · Greenbelt, Blackbelt or Lean certification

    · Expert ability in use of Microsoft Office, especially MS Excel in support of analysis

    · Experience with ERP/MRP planning software packages

    · Experience with SIOP software packages highly desirable

    · Experience developing software, task automation, data analysis, and data visualization preferred

    Certification/License:

    · Preferred: APICS Certification or related Supply Chain certifications highly desired
