    The Opportunity
    RS&H is seeking a Sustainability/ESG Consultant to join our Environmental Stewardship and Resilience (ESR) market in Indianapolis, IN

    The ideal candidate will have exceptional communication skills and an interest in providing a broad array of sustainability and resilience planning and implementation services.

    Demonstrated knowledge and experience implementing sustainable planning, design, and construction principles using the Institute of Sustainable Infrastructure's (ISI's) Envision rating system is important as well as experience demonstrating the value/business case of sustainability and resilience.

    Experience with Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) reporting frameworks is also a plus.


    Background knowledge and interests in greenhouse gas management, energy, electrification, alternative fuels, air quality, water, stormwater, wetlands, spill management, emerging, hazardous and non-hazardous materials and waste management, environmental compliance management systems and auditing programs is a plus.

    Interest or prior experience in developing proactive environmental programs, including operational sustainability, environmental restoration, and long-term adaptation and resiliency planning, is desired.


    Requirements:
    Minimum 5 years of applicable sustainability and/or environmental consulting experience.

    Ability to work in an independent but collaborative team environment and be highly responsive to client deadlines.

    Ability to mentor and help guide junior consultants.

    Requires an accredited Bachelor's or Master's degree in environmental sciences / natural resources, environmental engineering, planning or related field.

    Experience utilizing the ISI Envision Rating System is required.

    Understanding of NEPA documentation for improvement projects.

    Strong verbal, written and presentation skills.

    Working knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) is essential for use in completing assignments.


    Preferred Qualifications:
    Envision Sustainability Professional (ENV SP)

    Experience developing Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) plans using an acceptable framework (e.g., SASB, ISSB, GRI, TCFD, CDP)

    Certification or certification-tracked by a professional society or a state regulatory board in the discipline of practice, if applicable.

    Certifications or registrations may include but are not limited to Sustainability Excellence Professional (SEP), American Institute of Certified Planners (ACIP), Certified Environmental Professional (C.E.P.), Certified Ecologist (C.E.)

    , or registered

    Professional Engineer (PE - Civil/Environmental) or Professional Geologists (PG)

    This individual will be part of the Environmental Stewardship and Resiliency (ESR) market segment providing environmental stewardship, sustainability, and resilience planning, permitting, and consulting services to Aviation, Transportation, Municipal and private clients nationally.

    As a member of RS&H's ESR team, you will identify and integrate solutions into our client's infrastructure and operations that make them more sustainable and resilient.

    In addition, this mid-level consultant position will help manage clients and projects, contribute to business development, and mentor junior consultants.
