Position: Deli Prep Cook

Position Purpose

Assists in advance preparation of food to be used by Deli staff. Responsible for overseeing all food presentation, inventory, and safety requirements.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:

• Prepares and cooks various types of cuisines using various cooking methods.
• Maintains par level on all prepared food products.
• Label and store foods in designated storage areas.
• Carry pans, kettles, and trays of food to and from designated storage area, work stations, stove, and refrigerator.
• Organizes and cleans designated storage area.
• Clean work areas, equipment and utensils, segregate and remove garbage.
• Distribute supplies, utensils, and portable equipment.
• Communicates any problems and/or concerns to the Executive Chef and/or The Food and beverage supervisor without delay.
• Works in a team environment, communicating with and assisting other department personnel with food requests and set-up.
• Maintain a professional appearance at all times.
• Other duties and assignments as assigned by the Executive Chef and/or The Food and beverage supervisor.

Education Level - High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred

Experience - Two years experience in a related field.Language Skills

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to communicate effectively with other employees. Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
