POSITION SUMMARY

A coordinator role at Williamson Health involves planning and implementing nursing care with precision and efficiency.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Licensed by the State of Tennessee
Completion of a nursing diploma or degree from an accredited college or university
BLS certification required within 90 days of hire
ACLS certification required within 6 months of hire
Basic Arrhythmia certification required within 6 months of hire

For this role, experience in patient care delivery is essential. Proficiency in using standard patient care equipment is necessary, along with the ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt nursing knowledge to diverse settings. Familiarity with equipment such as Network Computer System, Pneumatic Tube System, Omnicell Medication System, Telemetry Monitors, AT&T Language line, and completion of Telemetry course are preferred.

The work environment involves a medical/surgical cardiac unit catering to patients from pediatric to geriatric age groups.

Physical capabilities required include effective communication in English, the ability to stand/work for extended hours, and lift weight with assistance when needed.
PERFORMANCE STANDARDS

Conduct thorough patient assessments promptly upon admission, incorporating observation, communication, and examination skills
Develop individualized care plans based on patient needs, nursing diagnosis, standards of care, and achievable outcomes
Plan for patient education, discharge, and post-discharge needs according to the patient's demographic
Execute treatments, procedures, and equipment operations independently, complying with policies and competencies
Handle, administer, and store medications safely following hospital guidelines
Ensure accurate and timely documentation of patient information
Regularly reassess patient conditions, adjust care plans as necessary, and oversee staff assignments based on patient requirements
Promote a healing environment for patients and families, maintaining qualifications for the position
Take charge of assigned communications and duties, ensuring professionalism and safety in the workplace
