    Job Description

    Mark III Construction is currently seeking a Journeyman HVAC Technician for the Sacramento area. This opportunity involves installing heating and air conditioning systems at a high standard, ensuring customers receive top-notch service.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Establish and maintain positive relationships with customers
    • Install, troubleshoot and repair HVAC units and heat pumps
    • Identify and resolve issues with HVAC systems
    • Conduct regular maintenance checks and adjustments for optimal system performance
    • Repair wiring and electronic components related to building management systems
    • Replace various component parts, such as expansion valves and compressors
    • Check distribution systems to ensure proper functionality
    • Address condensation problems
    • Record procedures, actions taken, and solutions
    • Manage supply and equipment requests
    • Complete necessary paperwork in a timely manner
    • Handle emergency service requests
    • Be willing to travel and work overtime if required
    • Adhere to safety regulations and guidelines
    • Maintain company tools, equipment, and vehicle
    • Execute system start-ups

    Education and Experience

    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Trade school education preferred
    • Minimum of five years experience with various HVAC systems
    • Experience with refrigeration, boiler, and chillers is a bonus
    • Proficient in using tablets or smartphones for software navigation

    Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

    • Industry certification (e.g. UTI, NATE)
    • EPA certification
    • Valid CA driver's license with a good driving record

    Physical Demands

    • Lift objects up to 25lbs
    • Engage in walking and repetitive motion tasks
    • Perform pushing and pulling movements
    • Stand for extended periods
    • Bend, twist, crouch, and climb ladders
    • Use lifts to reach work areas
    • Reach, grab, and lift objects in various positions
    • Communicate detailed information verbally
    • Hear sounds and maintain visual acuity

    Hourly Wage: $35/hour - $40/hour DOE
