Working Title Assistant Professor of Health Care Management Brief Summary of Job Description

Assistant or Associate Health Care Management Professor (tenure-track), University of Nebraska at Kearney. Teach undergraduate and graduate level courses primarily in the areas of Health Care Management, Health Care Policy and Leadership.

Job Duties

Teach face-to-face and online courses at the undergraduate and graduate level while maintaining an active research agenda at a level consistent with our AACSB Scholarly Academic standards, and actively engage in activities serving the department, college, university, community, and discipline.

Network with Regional Hospitals, Health Care Clinics, and Long-Term Care Facilities to recruit potential students and establish internship opportunities. Collaborate with other faculty members, health care professionals, and community partners on interdisciplinary projects and initiatives.

Required Qualifications

Doctoral degree in Health Care Management, Health Care Administration, Public Health, Health Policy, Systems and Management, Human Resources or related field.

ABD applicants with an expected completion date prior to August 2025 will be considered. Candidates must demonstrate teaching excellence and a record of published research commensurate with years of experience. The doctoral degree must have been earned in an on-campus setting.

Preferred Qualifications

Doctoral degree from an AACSB-accredited university or doctoral program. Demonstrated effectiveness in online and face-to-face teaching in relevant areas of management. Demonstrated ability to publish in peer-reviewed management journals and other peer-reviewed journals related to the discipline.

Preference will be given to candidates with experience in teaching health care management, health care policy or human resources management.

Professional experience in health care management, health care policy and human resource management is also preferred.
