    Description
    North Star Radiology is a partnership of radiology physicians dedicated to providing excellence in diagnostic imaging. We are focused on patient-centered care delivered with service, quality, and compassion.
    *Under general supervision, the MRI Technologist will perform MRI and X-Ray exams and procedures on appropriate anatomical regions in accordance with accepted standards of practice and protocols of the individual site radiologist. Additional responsibilities include providing procedure-related patient care and education, maintaining records and documentation of procedures, and enforcing magnetic field safety for MRI patients, operators, staff and visitors. Communicate with front desk staff any changes that may alter patient schedule flow.

    • Perform equipment quality checks and troubleshoot problems; Enforce magnetic field safety for MRI patients, operators, staff and visitors.
    • Maintain equipment service manual, delivery schedule and all related statistics.
    • Maintain and clean all equipment in accordance with required decontamination procedures.
    • Comply with all company, department and location specific policies, procedures and mandatory learning requirements.

    Day shift
    Current ARRT certification, with advanced certification in MRI required.

    • Minimum 2-year MRI clinical experience preferred.
    *Detailed knowledge of current MRI scanning and X-Ray procedures.

    • Working knowledge of current MRI and X-Ray protocols.
    • Microsoft Office Suite applications;
    • Accessing and navigating company intranet for forms, policies and procedures;
    • Accessing and entering data on organization-wide software;
    • Ability to coordinate work schedule with requirements of position (may include overtime).

    Ability to perform physical activity, including but not limited to: repetitive motions, feeling, grasping, fingering (pinching, typing, handling, etc.), from floor to waist; Occasionally required to help lift and/or move patients.

    Physical ability to perform all aspects of diagnostic testing, including CPR on all patients.
    Read/write/speak and understand English.
    Auditory and visual ability to assess and provide diagnostic care.
    Most work is accomplished indoors and in air conditioned or well-ventilated facilities.
