- Operate and oversee the wash line system to clean and prepare plastic materials for recycling. Monitor the equipment for smooth and effective operation.
- Conduct material sorting as an integral part of the wash line process, efficiently removing contaminants to maintain the quality of recyclable materials.
- Conduct visual inspections of cleaned plastic materials to ensure they meet quality standards. Identify and address any issues or deviations in the recycling process.
- Perform routine maintenance on wash line equipment to ensure proper functionality. Report any mechanical issues or malfunctions for timely repairs.
- Collaborate with the recycling team to identify opportunities for process optimization, efficiency improvement, and waste reduction within the wash line operation.
- Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment. Report any safety concerns or incidents promptly.
- Maintain accurate records of daily operations, including production quantities, quality control measures, and any equipment maintenance performed.
- Work closely with other members of the recycling team to coordinate and streamline the overall recycling process.
- Provide training to new team members on wash line operation procedures, safety protocols, and quality standards.
- Minimum of 1-3 years of hands-on experience in plastics recycling or a similar manufacturing environment, specifically operating wash line systems.
- Familiarity with operating and troubleshooting wash line equipment. Basic mechanical aptitude gained through practical experience is beneficial.
- Prior experience in conducting material sorting and quality control inspections in a recycling setting.
