    Job Description Machine Maintenance TechnicianJob SummaryWe are hiring a full-time Machine Maintenance Technician. This is a direct hire position on 2ndShift and offers up to $23/hour based on experience. In this role, you will perform the following tasks: adjusting, setting up, troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining automated production machines used in the grinding, turning, broaching, measuring, and assembling automotive hub bearings.Pay
    • 2nd Shift- $23/hour + $2.50 differential
    Responsibilities
    • Perform highly diversified duties to maintain the production and quality of machines.
    • Set up and operate production equipment according to standard company procedures.
    • Perform root-cause analyses to diagnose machine malfunctions (such as part size variation, machine jam, slow cycle times, etc...), replace or repair parts, and test and make adjustments.
    • Inspect, replace, and adjust machine parts such as gages, grinding shoes, backing plates, belts, pulleys, dressers, spindles, motors, and actuators.
    • Ensure quality and customer specifications are met by measuring parts with hand gauges and setting machine gauges to masters.
    • Participate in process improvement activities (Monozukuri projects, MRR & Scrap improvement meetings, etc.)
    • Help train and develop Operators and other Machine Technicians
    • Accurately document downtime, machine repairs, and spare parts usage
    • Comply with all safety rules and maintain a clean and orderly work area (5S)
    • Communicates and collaborates with all departments as required.
    • Perform other duties as assigned.
    Skills and Abilities
    • Communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing.
    • Ability to follow instructions in written, oral, or diagram form.
    • Respond promptly to a sound or light signal when it occurs.
    • Concentrate on a task over several minutes without being distracted.
    • Able to become proficient in the following:
    • Understand the manufacturing process of HUB bearing
    • Understand the operation of the automated production line
    • Understand quality requirements and inspection methods
    • Understand how to interpret various quality data and charts (part shape, roughness, etc).
    • Certified to inspect finished goods
    Education
    • A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.
    Physical Requirements
    • Work is performed in a manufacturing setting standing and walking on concrete floors throughout an 8- to 12-hour Shift with frequent handling of metal parts weighing 1 to 5 pounds.
    • Visual inspection
    • Occasional bending or reaching
    • Use of hand tools
    • Use of up to 50 lbs. of force to move heavy loads on wheels
