    Job Title: Wellness Assistant

    Reports To: Wellness Coordinator Supervises: None

    Summary

    Assist the Wellness Coordinator in the development and implementation of wellness program initiatives and events that create awareness and motivation to help employees adapt and maintain a well-rounded healthy lifestyle. The ideal candidate is personable, energetic, professional, self-motivated, and detail-oriented with the ability to meet deadlines while juggling multiple projects/tasks.

    Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Assist with coordination of wellness efforts with community wellness activities to maximize participation, (i.e. walk-a-thons, organized runs, charity events that involve a physical activity component, cooking courses, etc.).
    • Provide information to patients regarding accessing services and their current status within ongoing wellness programs
    • Serve as a resource to Wellness Champions and Benefit Coordinators during implementation of new wellness programs
    • Assist with processing monthly eligibility files
    • Perform general office duties such as answering phone, responding to emails, scanning and faxing

    Minimum Qualifications:

    • High School Diploma
    • Prior experience in medical setting and with EMR
    • Working knowledge of medical terminology
    • Protect the privacy of our patients using HIPAA guidelines
    • Excellent customer service skills
    • Strong knowledge of computer systems, including Microsoft Outlook, Word & Excel
    • Ability to effectively communicate with staff and patients using excellent written and verbal skills
    • Friendly personality and ability to work as a team member
