    Reporting to the Facilities Manager, the Environmental Engineer will play a pivotal role in overseeing the environmental and mechanical operations of our plant facility. This role is critical in ensuring compliance, efficiency, and safety within the facility's operations. The ideal candidate will be a key player in managing our environmental systems, driving sustainability initiatives, and supporting the expansion of our operations.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Manage and execute audits for the recertification/surveillance of the ISO 14001 Environmental Management System.
    • Track, record, and manage compliance requirements across company and regulatory standards.
    • Serve as a liaison with city and state officials, ensuring facility compliance with regulatory standards.
    • Responsible for the storage and disposal of hazardous materials, ensuring safe and compliant practices.
    • Participate in facility expansion planning, suggesting improvements for safety, quality, and productivity.
    • Manage bids for services, overseeing contractor work and maintaining schedules for facility maintenance.

    Qualifications:

    • A 4-year degree in Environmental, Manufacturing, Industrial, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
    • At least 3-5 years of experience in a relevant engineering field, with a strong preference for candidates with a blend of environmental, industrial, manufacturing, chemical, and mechanical engineering backgrounds.
    • Proven leadership capabilities and the ability to work well under pressure, including experience managing projects and teams.
    • Knowledgeable in SAP, MEP, and local regulatory requirements related to environmental compliance.
    • ISO 14001 Certification is preferred, with a focus on environmental management.
    • Experience in MRO/BPO, including the creation of POs, vendor management, and bid handling.
    • Excellent communication skills, detail-oriented, and proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
