    Boeing Commercial Airlines (BCA)

    has exciting opportunities for

    Associate or Experienced Quality Engineer (Level 2 or 3)

    to join our Quality Engineering team located in

    Salt Lake City and West Jordan, UT.


    The selected candidate will work with Boeing Quality Engineering team to support APQP verification, acceptance activity, Metal Fabrication and Assembly, and Composite Fabrication and Assembly.

    This position reports to a First-line manager.

    This position offers exciting opportunity for an individual to apply leadership, creativity, and to grow in a dynamic Quality Engineering organization.

    Position Responsibilities

    :

    Researches contractual and Boeing Quality Management System requirements for applicability to specific proposals and program processes and documentation.
    Develops sections of quality metrics, design and production certification plans to ensure compliance with contractual, company and regulatory requirements.
    Analyzes capability assessments to support supplier selection activities.
    Participates in various reviews to ensure quality attributes are incorporated into product designs
    Uses product design engineering to develop quality verification plans.
    Performs data analysis to ensure manufacturing and test readiness.
    Provides material review dispositions for non-conformances.
    Analyzes non-conformance trends to evaluate effectiveness of corrective actions.
    Compiles performance reports and other statistical data to ensure specified processes capability levels are achieved.
    Works under general supervision.
    This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.
    The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. § is required. "US Person" includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee
    Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

    Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in STEM (science, technology, engineering and mathematics)
    2+ years' experience in inspection and inspection techniques
    Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

    4+ years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
    1+ years of experience in the application / deployment of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and
    Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) or AS9145 within organizations
    Experience in conducting a Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA) associated with a complex technical issue
    Experience working with cross-functional teams
    Experience developing, documenting, maintaining, and improving processes
    Typical Education/Experience:

    Associate (Level 2):

    Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g.

    Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g.

    Master). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
    Experienced (Level 3):

    Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g.

    Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g.

    PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
    Relocation:

    Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position. Candidates must live in the immediate area or relocate at their own expense.

    Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.
    Summary pay range for associate level:
    77,400 – 94,600
    Summary pay range for mid-level:
    93,600 – 114,400
