JOB TITLE:
X-Ray Tech

GENERAL SUMMARY OF DUTIES:

Prepares patients for radiological procedures in the surgical suite following established procedures for patient care and safety
Performs high quality radiologic imaging on patients in a timely manner while providing excellent patient care
Ensures continual radiation safety
Safeguards that all equipment is in good working condition and in compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
Works closely with surgeons and anticipates needs
Download and save images to EHR
Maintain daily schedule ensuring accurate record of case services
Uses ALARA concept to minimize patient radiation doses, and documents exposure into the medical record
