    Description:Lockheed Martin is seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to perform as an embedded member of the MFC Digital Transformation group, where the primary role is a Deployment Subject Matter Expert (SME) for Model Based Definition (MBD) Creo and MBD CATIA. The candidate must be an experienced CAD user (Creo preferred) with experience performing on development programs. The candidate must have exceptional interpersonal, communication and organizational skills to work with program Design Leads, Chief Engineers, and Program Managers of both Dallas and Orlando programs. The candidate should be experienced with JIRA and Confluence for tracking and encouraging program progress toward implementation of MBD. The candidate must be able to travel to either Dallas or Orlando approximately four times per year to participate in project and strategy planning sessions or to interact directly on program special projects. The candidate must leverage their knowledge and experience to complete Functional Initiative assignments originating from within the HDA organization Director and Sr Manager levels, as well as represent MFC Mechanical Design in support of current and future 1LMX projects where you collaborate among teams comprised of functional representatives from other Lockheed Martin Business Areas (Space, Aero, RMS).

    Basic Qualifications:


    Bachelors degree from an accredited college in a related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education, with 9 years of professional experience; or 7 years of professional experience with a related Masters degree.

    3 or more years experience in 3D Modeling / Computer Aided Design (CAD) tools.

    Ability to obtain a Secret DoD security clearance

    Ability to travel to Orlando and Dallas locations

    Desired Skills:

    Highly desired for the candidate to have 3D modeling / Design experience in CREO in development projects.

    The preferred candidate will be experienced with JIRA and Confluence tools for tracking and encouraging program progress toward implementation of MBD

    Prior experience with Digital Transformation deployment a plus

    Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

    Clearance Level: Secret

    The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

    The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.

    Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

    Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
