- Firefighters must be currently employed with another fire department, and have two (2) consecutive years of full-time paid Firefighter experience.
- Lateral transfers must currently hold all five (5) of the below training /certifications (no exceptions):
- IFSAC Firefighter I, and
- IFSAC Firefighter II, and
- IFSAC Hazardous Materials Awareness, and
- IFSAC Hazardous Materials Operations, and
- NREMT-Basic and/or ability to reciprocate with Kentucky Board of EMS for EMT-Basic certification
- Current CPAT certifications are required at the time of hire for out-of-state applicants, and for in-state applicants that are not members of a fire department participating in the incentive program.
- Out-of-state applicants are required to convert training to Kentucky Fire Commission and Kentucky Board of EMS requirements.
- Upload copy of High School Diploma/Transcript (if you have to request your transcript/diploma submit your application and forward the documents to HR once received)
- Upload copy of EMT Certification Card (if applicable)
- Upload copy of CPAT Certification

Provides protection of life and property through general firefighting activities.
Duties and responsibilities include performing general firefighting; handling hazardous materials, and man-made and natural disasters; performing routine maintenance work in the upkeep of equipment and fire station; conducting inspections; and completing routine clerical work.

SALARY:
$55,836 ($4,300 upon academy completion; plus a full benefits package)
$1,600 additional for EMT Pay
HOURS:
After training, one will work one 24 hour shift and be off 48 hours. The work day starts at 7:00 a.m.
