Registered Nurse - Patient Care (PACU)

Sign-On Bonus, Relocation Reimbursement, and Ongoing Advancement Opportunities Available

Provide direct nursing care to assigned patients, adhering to Hospital and Departmental policies and procedures
Work collaboratively with healthcare team to implement and document individualized care plans, including discharge planning and patient/family teaching
Assist with special tests and procedures and ensure proper consent has been obtained
Administer medication, including IV medication, via the Seven Rights; document and communicate clinical findings
Enhance professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, reading current literature, attending in-services, meetings, and workshops
Maintain a safe, comfortable, and therapeutic environment for patients/families
Encourage patients to actively participate in their care, identifying and reporting/correcting potential safety concerns as appropriate

Qualifications:

Graduate of nationally accredited nursing program, with or without a Bachelor's degree
Current RN license in NM, or as allowed by reciprocal agreement by NM
CPR for Healthcare/BLS Prov or Prof Rescuers within 30 days of hire
Nationally-certified in area of specialty, if applicable
Bilingual English/Spanish (preferred)
Physically able to perform heavy work, exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects or people
Must be comfortable working with hazardous materials requiring personal protective equipment
