    CLICS, LLC has an opening for a full-time Quality Assurance Engineer


    responsible for ensuring that CLICS software and systems perform in a reliable manner and that new features and releases are appropriately tested to maintain a high-quality user experience with minimal bugs and downtime.


    CLICS has a wide variety of different systems including mobile apps, remote hardware/dispensers, firmware, online portals, a public website, and various backend systems and 3rd party integrations.

    As a startup, CLICS operates in a fast-paced environment with minimal bureaucracy and has software deployments on a frequent basis, with plenty of growth opportunities available.

    This role reports to the VP of Engineering and will work closely with the engineering and executive teams to confirm that product features operate as intended across various platforms.

    ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES (included, but not limited to):

    Becoming an expert in how CLICS systems work and the use cases of various users
    Reviewing software requirements, developing testing strategies, and executing tests
    Analyzing test results on database impacts, errors or bugs, and usability
    Signing off on new releases and recommending rollout schedule based on risk level
    Determining appropriate test coverage and maintaining a suite of regression tests
    Designing or recommending automated test protocols for software and server code
    Building documentation and knowledge-base material for internal stakeholders and customer support teams
    Investigating incidents from the field to document and reproduce the scenarios
    Entering bug reports into the ticketing system and escalating as appropriate
    Participating in design reviews and providing input on requirements, product design, and potential problems
    Providing reports on all aspects related to software testing and reporting to the management team
    Onboarding and training new hires on how the CLICS systems work, and the Slack, ClickUp and Google Drive platforms
    Provide support to all departments as needed
    Build and expand the automation framework.
    Collaborate with the other engineers to implement sound quality practices with a focus on automation.


    QUALIFICATIONS
    3+ years of relevant QA experience required, preferably with remote kiosks/assets
    Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field is preferred, but not required.
    Up-to-date knowledge of software test design, testing methodologies, and best practices
    Experience programming in Ruby, Ruby on Rails a plus
    Experience with TypeScript/Javascript and front-end frameworks (Angular, Ionic, React) a plus
    Working knowledge of testing strategies and compatibility with various software programs
    Working knowledge of programming/scripting, source code control, and deployment
    Startup experience preferred, growth mindset, can do attitude, ability to learn quickly
    Excellent communication and critical thinking skills
    Good organizational skills and great attention to detail – details matter
