    The Blount School Based Master's Liaison

    Functions as a member of a treatment team to plan, implement, and evaluate successful interventions for children and families.


    • The holder of this position will provide individual, family, and group counseling sessions including initiatives that encourage communication, trust building, and responsibility of actions and clinical process of all activities.

    Serves as the primary clinician that provides counseling/liaison services to a predetermined number of children/youth and families in the Alcoa City School Systems.


    • Interfaces with the school system and other agencies to increase cooperation and consistency between home, school, and community.

    • Functions as a member of a treatment team to plan, implement, and evaluate successful interventions for children and families.

    • This position operates primarily in the community within Alcoa City Schools and in the home setting.

    and employee will also perform other reasonably related job responsibilities as assigned by immediate supervisor and other management as required.

    Work with other professionals in the community, to promote continuity of care and further program development.

    • Coordinates with community members to meet the needs of consumers.
    • Provide linkage to other community supports, agencies, or services that are appropriate for client.
    Work with leadership team to ensure grant requirements are met.

    • Monitoring of treatment effectiveness and compliance.
    • Ensure that all policies are accurate, thoroughly documented and consistently applied.
    • Devote appropriate time and effort to the development of professional competence as evidenced by attending a minimum of 1 professional training annually.
    • Attends supervision as scheduled without tardiness.
    • Attends administrative team meeting when on site without tardiness.
    • Meet weekly with direct supervisor to discuss clinical and administrative concerns/ changes.
    This position requires in-person, daily attendance Monday through Friday during school hours.


    Travel :

    • Travel is required to and from the schools this position serves.
    • Equipment/Technology :
    • Must have basic competency in office applications such as Word and Excel.
    • Will have access SurfacePro and Center cell phone for scheduling and completing data entry in the electronic medical record.
    • Position requires regular use of a computer, and appropriate phone etiquette.
    • Master's degree in Human Services or related field with coursework or experience in the areas of cultural diversity, human development, etiology and treatment of mental illness, alcohol and drug abuse, physical and sexual abuse, and intellectual disabilities.
    • Must have course work and or experience in the areas of cultural diversity, human development, etiology and treatment of mental illness, alcohol and drug abuse, physical and sexual abuse, suicide, and neurodevelopmental disorders.
    • Experience working with children is preferred although applicants may have other skills and experiences that could accommodate this position.
    • This person will either possess experience or training in the Re-Education Philosophy or will acquire such training in the course of employment.
    Ability to effectively and ethically counsel children and families.

    • Ability to effectively run and process groups with children and families.
    • Ability to work within a team format to meet positive goals for children and interface with other agencies involved in the ecology of the family.
    • An essential job function is a reliable, predictable 40 hour per week job, on site and in the community, with regular attendance.
