Job Summary:

You will manage the flow of materials and products within Walmart's warehouse or distribution center. Your role involves receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping merchandise to support operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Receiving and Unloading:
• Receive incoming shipments, verifying quantities and inspecting for damages.
• Unload trucks using equipment like forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand trucks.
• Record received goods in the inventory management system and distribute to storage locations.
• Inventory Management:
• Maintain accurate inventory records through cycle counts and reconciliations.
• Organize and store merchandise in designated locations, following safety and space guidelines.
• Monitor inventory levels and report shortages or discrepancies to supervisors.
• Order Picking:
• Use handheld devices or lists to locate and select merchandise from storage locations.
• Navigate aisles and storage racks to retrieve items efficiently, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Verify product details, quantities, and quality before packing.
• Product Packaging:
• Pack merchandise securely and appropriately for shipping, using packaging materials like boxes and bubble wrap.
• Label packages with shipping information, barcodes, and tracking numbers.
• Ensure packages are sealed properly to prevent damage during transit.
• Shipping and Loading:
• Prepare shipments for outgoing delivery to stores or customers, ensuring timely and accurate fulfillment.
• Load merchandise onto trucks or shipping containers using equipment and techniques.
• Coordinate with logistics personnel to schedule pickups and deliveries.
• Safety and Compliance:
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to prevent accidents and injuries.
• Operate equipment safely and maintain a clean work area.
• Follow company policies and procedures regarding workplace safety, security, and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous experience in warehouse operations, logistics, or related field is advantageous.
• Familiarity with warehouse equipment like forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks is desirable.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling merchandise and inventory.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50 pounds) and maneuver bulky items using equipment.
• Physical agility to bend, stoop, reach, and stand for extended periods.
