    Job Responsibilities:


    Schnabel Engineering Tunnel Business Unit has an immediate opening for Senior Estimator to join our Constructability, Estimating & Scheduling (CES) team.

    The ideal candidate has heavy civil/underground construction and estimating experience working with a tunnel contractor. The Estimator will work with the CES team to assist with a variety of assignments which will include but not be limited to the following;Project documents review and comments;Performing quantity takeoff;Estimating all facets of underground construction for a bottom-up detailed estimate;Performing cycle-time analyses and crew/equipment spreads to achieve likely production rates;Recommending construction means and methods for constructability;Assist in the preparation and review of construction schedules;Assessing and evaluating contingency and risk levels;Development of client final deliverableRequired Skills/Experience:BS degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent;10 years of field experience employed by a tunnel contractor;Experience preparing competitive bids on heavy and underground civil construction projects;Proficiency with HCSS and MS Office Suite
