- Conduct housing intakes with homeless families and establish housing goals based on their strengths and barriers.
- Perform detailed strength-based assessments to identify housing and work history, health, legal matters, etc.
- Assist families in overcoming housing barriers, applications, and inspections.
- Monitor families' progress, provide supportive services, and connect them with community resources.
- Facilitate budget discussions and resolve tenancy issues.
- Stay updated on regional housing laws and provide support to families with Housing Vouchers.
- Build and maintain relationships with community partners and assist in creating a 'wrap-around' service model.
- Participate in meetings, assist with shelter participant triage, and handle other assigned duties.
- Demonstrate expertise in client-centered service planning and best practices consumer engagement models.
- Possess knowledge of housing markets, landlord-tenant laws, social issues, and poverty-related practices.
- Be skilled in coordinating housing support services and empowering homeless individuals.
- Show proficiency in maintaining records, following instructions, and collaborating effectively.
- Have a Bachelor's Degree and relevant work experience in social services or related field.

As a Housing Specialist at Lilac Meadows, you will play a crucial role in providing support to vulnerable, homeless families in finding safe and stable housing. By working closely with families, identifying their strengths and barriers, and exploring various housing options, you will contribute to securing suitable accommodations.
