    Description

    We're looking for a Neuro - Interventional Radiology Technologist - Permanent + Relocation Bonus, working in the Healthcare Systems & Services industry in New York City, New York, United States.

    Job Summary

    This role is located in Columbia, South Carolina

    Under the direction of a radiologist or physician, performs peripheral and neurological diagnostic and therapeutic radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures at a level not requiring constant supervision of technical data. The technologist will perform a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative in the application of ionizing radiation for diagnostic andtherapeutic purposes.

    Responsibilities:

  • Performs all procedures proficiently and strives to maintain high quality.
  • Assists Radiologists and/or Physician with invasive procedures using aseptic/sterile technique.
  • Properly prepares and administers contrast materials associated with imaging procedures that are within the scope of practice as prescribed by a physician or in approved Radiology protocol.
  • Prepares room for procedures using approved cleaning protocol.
  • Appropriately discards sharps and maintains adequate level of supplies and linen.
  • Assures that proper radiation safety measures are being utilized.
  • Knows and implements emergency procedures as needed.
  • Performs department and hospital related computer functions pertinent to job.
  • Enters and records data accurately and promptly.
  • Exhibits competency in performing QC tasks associated with equipment and procedures and ensures standards are met according to state and federal regulations.
  • Stays abreast of organizational, affiliate and departmental changes/updates by checking email on each shift.
  • Participates independently in call rotation.

    Minimum Requirements

  • Graduate of an approved school of Radiologic Technology
  • 1 year experience in interventional radiology, cath lab, or diagnostic radiology

    • Required Certifications, Registrations, Licenses

  • Registered in primary modality within 18 months
  • ARRT registered
  • SCRQSA certification
  • BLS certification

    • Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

  • Operation of diagnostic imaging equipment/computers, must be computer literate and ability to treat patients of all ages
  • Epic Radiant preferred
  • Basic computer skills
  • Knowledge of office equipment (fax/copier)
  • Data entry
  • Mathematical skills
    • EOE/M/F/D/V
