Job Summary:

Basic Engineering Concepts & Technologies, Inc. (BecTech) is a Small Business Program Management and Engineering Services provider to Department of Defense (DoD) Agencies. BecTech is seeking professional candidates to fill the position of full-time Model Based Systems Engineer in Crystal City, VA.

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop models, architectural products, and digital artifacts for a system and/or System-of-Systems (SoS) in line with established standards, best practices, policies, and procedures.
• Apply modeling techniques to support various stages of the acquisition lifecycle, including requirements setting, design, analysis, verification, and validation for systems or SoS.
• Provide crucial support to ensure that systems are designed and developed to be interoperable, facilitating effective communication and interaction among various system components.
• Produce detailed reports that inform and guide the management of MBSE and digital environment activities, aiding in strategic decision-making processes.
• Manage and coordinate information and resources effectively to achieve objectives related to the digital thread, ensuring seamless data integration and flow across the system lifecycle.
• Implement and promote a model-based culture within the organization, leveraging the capabilities of the digital enterprise environment infrastructure to enhance system development and operations.
• Utilize model data to enable the creation of a comprehensive digital thread that integrates with other engineering disciplines, such as cybersecurity and configuration management, fostering a holistic approach to system development.

Required Education/Experience:

• Requires minimum of 4 years of experience; More than 7 years of experience is preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in an engineering field is required; Master's degree in a technical field preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to follow direction and work within a team.
• Good interpersonal, problem-solving, and organizational skills
• Possess good communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• Able to obtain and retain a security clearance.

ADA SPECIFICATIONS:

• Regular physical activity to include walking, climbing stairs, and standing; frequent period of prolonged sitting may be required.
• Ability to speak, read, hear, and write, with or without assistance.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

• Travel: Less than 5% expected
