Reports To: Production Manager
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
SummarySupervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in maintaining and repairing physical structures of buildings and plant equipment by performing the following duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.· Ensure that preventive and predictive maintenance programs are established, implemented, and maintained for entire plant operations.
· Ensure that preventive maintenance is conducted on the overhead cranes, slitter line, forklifts and etc.
· Support for all plant machines and tooling as far as breakdowns, damages, troubleshooting, etc.
· Ensure that safety procedures are properly followed in all aspects of maintenance in the operation.
· Provide weekly reports to management.
· Maintain and organize maintenance and all parts.
· Maintain cleanliness of area to ensure safety and appearance of plant.
· Maintain monthly budget.
· Assist in preparing yearly budget.
· Minimize overtime by rotating personnel as necessary.
· Report any equipment abuse to Plant Manager.
Supervisory ResponsibilitiesManages total of three employees in the Maintenance Department. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of these units. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Education and/or ExperienceTwo years of college or equivalent technical experience; minimum 3-5 years hands-on maintenance experience and troubleshooting.
Computer SkillsTo perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of company software.
