Role Description
This is a part-time on-site role as an Optometric Technician at Willow Lawn Eye Care located in Richmond, VA. As an Optometric Technician, your responsibilities will include:
performing diagnostic tests
maintaining patient records
collecting insurance co-pays and post amounts paid to patient accounts
confirming and verifying patient benefits
scheduling and confirming patient appointments, follow-ups and physician referrals
preparing referrals, work and/or school excuse letters, written prescriptions for providers to sign
educating patients on contact lens use, insertion/removal training, and contact lens sales
conducting inventory of supplies and stocks of examination rooms
Qualifications
Relevant certifications or qualifications in optometry are a plus but not required.
