    • Must have a minimum of 8 years experience conducting investigations pertaining to civil rights, discrimination and/or workforce harassment complaints; and a comprehensive understanding of equal opportunity related laws, statutes, guidelines, and regulations. A BA/BS degree. A JD is preferred.

    Selected candidate will be involved in conducting complex, sensitive, and multi-faceted EEO and Title VI investigations into complaints filed by employees, applicants, customers, and community members. Their work goes toward ensuring non-discrimination in the MTA, as required by federal, state, and local statutes.

    The selected candidate is likely to engage with anyone or any department within the MTA, as complaints can emanate from anywhere in the MTA.

    The Senior EO Investigator is part of DDCRs division of Diversity and Equal Opportunity, typically consisting of a Chief EO Officer, a Deputy Chief EO Officer, in some cases a Director of Investigations and an EO Investigator.

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

    REQUIRED:

    • BA/BS from an accredited college or university is required. An equivalent combination of education and experience from an accredited college may be considered in lieu of a degree.
    • A minimum of 8 years' experience conducting investigations pertaining to civil rights, discrimination and/or workforce harassment complaints; and comprehensive understanding of Equal Opportunity related laws, statutes, guidelines, and regulations is required.

    PREFERRED:

    • A Juris Doctorate degree is a preferred.

    OTHER INFORMATION:
