    BLACK OXIDE OPERATOR

    1st, 2nd and 3rd (6 openings/2 per shift)

    Check-Mate Manufacturing has six (6) immediate openings on all shifts for Black Oxide Operators.

    POSITION SUMMARY:

    • Black Oxide operator interfaces with controls to start, stop and run equipment.
    • Black Oxide operator ensures that water valves are turned on or off, as needed.
    • Black Oxide verifies liquid levels within plating tanks.
    • Black Oxide operator loads and unloads parts racks, about 500 parts per rack.
    • Black Oxide operator moves racks from one end of the line to the other.
    • Black Oxide operator cleans racks between individual plating tanks.
    • Black Oxide operator operates overhead equipment to move parts between tanks.
    • Black Oxide operator keeps up with established times that parts are in each tank.
    • Black Oxide operator lifts up to 35 lbs.
    • Black Oxide operator assists technicians and/or managers in maintaining chemical consistency.
    • Black Oxide operator keep work area cleaned up and floors washed.
    • Black Oxide operator maintains a healthy awareness of hazardous chemicals used.
    • Black Oxide operator wears appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (Chemical Resistant apron, gloves, boots and face shield).

    ENVIRONMENT:

    • Elevated temperatures, due to Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
    • Mostly standing operation
    • Wet environment
    • Caustic chemicals can:
      • Burn or irritate skin
      • Irritate nose and lungs, causing cough
      • Burn your eyes

    Minimum Requirements

    • High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institution
    • 6 months – 3 years working in a warehouse or manufacturing environment

    PAY AND BENEFITS:

    • 1st shift Pay - $13.00/hr.
    • 2nd shift Pay – $14.04/hr.
    • 3rd shift Pay - $14.56/hr.
    • Full Benefit Package (Medical, Dental, Vision, STD, LTD, Life) available after 60 days of employment
    • 12 PTO days during the 1st year
    • Weekly Pay
    • 401K Eligibility after 1 year of employment
    • 3 weeks Paid Training
