Lit Bright Do you have four years of journey-level lineman experience and a sharp eye for quality and safety The Department of Design and Construction Mechanical/Electrical Division is looking for a skilled inspector to inspect and test the City s street lighting systems related electrical equipment In this role you will ensure systems are safe code-compliant reliable coordinate with utilities contractors assist higher-level inspectors to keep the City streets parks public spaces safe bright
- Inspect street lighting construction from start to finish including wiring footings sidewalks roads handholes conduits poles paving Verify materials quality workmanship contractor work meets plans codes contracts ordinances Perform electrical testing standard testing instruments Review interpret plans specifications verify proper electrical installation Ensure contractor work complies National Electrical Code City standards applicable environmental regulations Inspect existing street lighting systems equipment recommend corrective action needed Coordinate electrical service connections local utility companies Assist higher-level inspectors other electrical systems power communications security lighting irrigation controllers park facilities
