    Presently, Springmoor is looking for qualified, innovative and creative AM/PM Cooks to join our team of talented Chefs and Dining Support Staff. Various Shifts Available, Rotating Weekends.

    To be successful as a Cook, you should be a skilled multitasker who adheres to food safety codes. Ultimately, a top-performing Springmoor Cook will create and propound innovative dishes for inclusion on our menu.

    Responsibilities Include:

    1. Plans individual cooking schedule so that all foods assigned to prepare will be properly cooked and ready at the appropriate time.
    2. Assembles items needed for preparation from refrigerators and storerooms.
    3. Follows standardized recipes and portioning procedures to prepare meats, gravies, casseroles, vegetables and desserts that require cooking.
    4. Tastes all food during preparation to ascertain if foods are seasoned and cooked correctly; makes adjustments to seasoning and cooking time as necessary.
    5. Merchandises foods to be served in the dining room and at special functions in such a way to make them attractive and easily served in standardized portions.
    6. Follows steam table diagrams to place foods into trayline; labels foods for trayline according to modifications.
    7. Serves foods throughout serving periods.
    8. Monitors trayline throughout serving periods to ensure that foods are available to replenish when needed without delay.
    9. Prepares leftover food for proper storage labeled with description of food and date.
    10. Schedules and prepares foods for special functions as planned and listed on the production sheets.
    11. Keeps cooking area in kitchen clean and orderly at all times, following outlined cleaning procedures.
    12. Performs related tasks as assigned.
    Qualifications
    • 2 - 3 years prior experience as a cook, preferably with a focus on grilling.
    • Desire to continue learning and professional development.
    • Capacity to stand for long hours.
    • Thorough knowledge of food safety guidelines.
    • Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking skills.
    • Level-headed with outstanding interpersonal skills.
    • Commitment to the production of high-quality outputs and excellent customer service.
    • Ability to work shifts, over weekends, and on holidays, as required.
