    Responsibilities / TasksWe are seeking a talented and experienced Territory Manager to join our North American Sales team.

    The role is based in the USA and is focused on selling custom engineered equipment, services, and integrated process lines to the Food industry.

    The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading a sales team within a specific geographic region or territory.

    They will play a pivotal role in achieving sales targets, developing strategic relationships with key clients, and driving revenue growth.

    The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills, a strong sales background, and a track record of success in managing a sales territory.

    Reporting to the Vice President of Sales

    • North America and collaborating with our Strategic Account Managers in North America, you will ultimately be responsible for managing and growing our business with your assigned territory in North America.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy for the assigned region/territory, in alignment with company objectives and market trends.

    Set and achieve sales targets, manage a sales team effectively, and drive revenue growth within their assigned territory.
    Responsible for managing a team of sales representatives.

    Effective leadership in this context involves recruiting, training, coaching, and motivating team members to meet and exceed their sales goals.

    Provide ongoing training and development to enhance their skills and performance.
    Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients, understanding their needs, and ensuring exceptional customer satisfaction.
    Continuously monitor market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to identify opportunities for growth and adaptation.
    Prepare accurate sales forecasts, budgets, and reports to track progress and make data-driven decisions.

    Work closely with senior management to develop and execute strategic plans for the region/territory, identifying growth opportunities and potential risks.

    Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the region/territory, expanding the customer base and market share.
    Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for the sales team, ensuring that they are consistently met or exceeded.
    Ensure that the sales team operates in compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical standards.
    Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by providing exceptional service and support.
    Negotiate contracts and agreements to ensure mutually beneficial outcomes.
    Stay up to date with industry developments and regulatory requirements that may impact our business.


    Your Profile / QualificationsQUALIFICATIONS:
    Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, marketing, or a related field (master's degree or MBA a plus). Six or more years of equivalent experience in lieu of education will be considered.
    Proven track record of 5+ years of experience in sales leadership and technical B2B sales.

    Must be willing/able to travel 75% of the time to visit customers, potential clients, attend trade shows and industry functions.

    Self-motivated with the ability to collaborate and work in a matrix environment to achieve results.

    PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSThe ideal candidate would have proven experience in leading a sales team selling custom engineered equipment and integrated process lines to the food industry with a proven track record of success in managing a sales territory and exceeding sales targets.

    Exceptional leadership, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
    Proficiency in sales management software and CRM systems.
    Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
    Demonstrated track record of leading, motivating, and building strong sales teams.

    Working knowledge of MS Office products and SAP C4CSome prior knowledge of one or more of the following application areas would be beneficial:
