    Description
    job summary:
    We are looking for a talented SQL Developer to join our team with a Randstad client in Washington, D.C. The ideal candidate will have solid experience with SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS) and be skilled in designing, developing, testing, and maintaining database solutions using Microsoft technologies. Knowledge of SSRS, ASP.NET, and BPC is a plus but not essential.

    responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain database solutions using Microsoft technologies.

  • Focus on creating efficient and robust data integration solutions using SSIS.

  • Support time-sensitive production activities and debug existing database solutions.

  • Communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Special Skillset Qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.

  • Certifications:

  • Microsoft technical certification in the relevant product is preferred.

  • Certification in at least one formal development methodology is a plus.

  • Experience:

  • Minimum six years in Information Technology.

  • At least five years in a developer role with a focus on SQL Server and SSIS.

  • Technical Expertise:

  • Proficient in SQL Server and SSIS.

  • Experience with change and release management processes.

  • Ability to estimate time, effort, dependencies, and resources for development tasks.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Service Delivery: Experience working in client-focused service delivery environments.

  • Required Skills & Experience:

  • Design and develop new database features from requirements and support production activities.

  • Debug existing database solutions and troubleshoot issues promptly.

  • Proficiency in SQL Server and familiarity with SSIS.

  • Understanding of Agile development methodologies.

  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with IT teams and business customers.

  • Extensive experience in database programming and/or systems analysis.

  • Broad understanding of information systems and application architecture standards.

  • Nice-to-Have Skills:

  • Experience with SSRS, ASP.NET, and BPC.

  • Familiarity with version control systems.

  • Prior experience with financial reporting, financial systems, financial, and audit processes.

  • Excellent troubleshooting skills.
