    Reporting to the Vice President of Talent Acquisition & Workforce Transformation, the Director of Talent Acquisition will be pivotal in spearheading the transformation of our Talent Marketplace and Acquisition landscape.

    This role will harness the power of cutting-edge technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), and automation to elevate our talent acquisition capabilities.

    You will be at the forefront of executing large-scale college recruiting initiatives, leading a dynamic team to attract the brightest minds from top academic institutions.

    Your expertise will also drive the operational excellence of our talent acquisition processes & tools that support the entire enterprise.


    In summary:

    • You will lead 35+ geographically dispersed recruiters, sourcers & talent acquisition specialists, as well as partner with four business are talent acquisition teams consisting of 300+ professionals
    • You'll have the opportunity to shape the future of the entire talent acquisition function & drive transformative change within a dynamic & forward-thinking organization.
    • You will be able to help form early career & veteran pipeline programs specific to critical skills
    • You get to partner with our amazing people in IT, Workforce Planning, Engineering, Finance, Operations, Talent Analytics, Talent Management, as well as academia, non-profit & military organizations.

    But It Won't Be Easy


    • Majority of the skills we hire for are in high demand and short supply - engineering skills, clearance requirements, etc.
    • This will require a mixture of strong leadership, intuition for business, operational savvy, data acumen, motivation & energy
    • Portions of our business is in services where many challenges exist with pay structures & incentives that aren't as competitive
    • Department of Labor regulations weigh heavily on our processes

    First Year Objectives:

    • Establish an implementation plan to deliver our new applicant tracking system & AI capabilities in 2025
    • Establish a mission-based team focused on delivering external critical skills talent for Lockheed Martin
    • Execute the early career hiring plans for 2024 & beyond (includes driving diversity efforts to improve representation)
    • Leverage data to drive operational efficiency in recruiter productivity (time-to-fill, cost-per-hire, etc) training and technology.

    Key Responsibilities:

    Innovate with technology:
    Implement advanced AI/ML solutions to streamline recruitment processes, enhance candidate experience & improve hiring quality.

    College Recruiting & Pipeline Programs:

    Develop and execute a comprehensive early career strategy to engage & attract top-tier talent from campus, transitioning military & diversity organizations.


    Operational Leadership:
    Oversee talent acquisition operations, ensuring operational efficiency, effectiveness, & alignment with our strategic goals.

    Recruitment Marketing:

    Work closely with our communications team to enhance & promote a compelling employment brand narrative that resonates with potential candidates & reflects our company values.


    Basic Qualifications


    • Demonstrated expertise in leading large-scale HR functions such as Talent Acquisition, Talent Development, Total Rewards or HR Business Partners, overseeing medium to large teams professionals and/or project teams. Proven track record of operational excellence, driving continuous improvement in HR related productivity and efficiencies.
    • Demonstrated ability in transformational leadership - setting a strategic vision, driving decisions closest to the work, creating psychological safety, influencing w/o authority and championing experimentation and innovation.
    • Strong communications, negotiations and relationship skills.

    Desired skills


    • Experience in implementing innovative and technology-driven solutions for complex talent & skills challenges.
    • Demonstrated success in managing large-scale hiring programs (early career, hourly and/or experienced professionals).
    • Broad market knowledge in talent planning, acquisition and integration, with a proven track record of designing and implementing premier talent recruitment systems, processes and practices in a high-growth organization.
    • Expertise in recruitment marketing and creating an attractive presence in the market.

    Remote Telework:

    The employee selected for this position will work remotely full time at a location other than a Lockheed Martin designated office/job site.

    Employees may travel to a Lockheed Martin office for periodic meetings.


    Work Schedule Information

    Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed.

    These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.


    Colorado Pay Statement

    Pay Rate:


    The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, or Washington is $180,000 - $300,000 .

    Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

    Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays.

    Non-represented full-time employees:

    accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays.

    Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays.

    PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.

    This position is incentive plan eligible.
