- Follow up on outstanding accounts receivable balances with insurance companies, patients, and attorneys.
- Review patient accounts, reconcile and make necessary adjustments.
- Maintain and update patient accounts with accurate and detailed information.
- Working clinical EMR and billing systems as well as external clearinghouses.
- Analyze EOBs and make necessary adjustments to patient accounts.
- Communicate with patients and insurance companies regarding billing inquiries and issues.
- Provide support in resolving patient and insurance billing disputes.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years of recent experience in Medical Accounts Receivable working with Insurances.
- Experience with major payers such as Medicare and Medicaid, Commercial and Private insurances.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-through.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Billing knowledge is a plus.

Pay range: $19-$26 per hour
Full-time | Monday-Friday, 8am-5pm
The ideal candidate will have recent (minimum of 3 years) experience in Insurance Accounts Receivable with major payers such as Medicare and Medicaid, Commercial and Private insurances.
The Medical AR Specialist will be responsible for collections from insurance companies, reading EOBs, writing appeals, reviewing patient balances, answering incoming calls, reviewing statements, and possess billing knowledge.
