    Qualifications

    Banquet Serving Duties:

  • Run food from the kitchen to the banquet hall on demand
  • Assist with food and table prep before the event begins
  • Set up buffets with food presentation standards and practices in mind, ensuring safe food handling performance
  • Serve plated dinners to guests and respond to requests for beverages, appetizers and other needs
  • Communicate with banquet supervisor as well as other servers and event organizers
  • Serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages
  • Open wine and take drink orders
  • Clean up venue after event ends and assist with inventory, food storage and other closeout tasks
  • Banquet Set-up Duties:

    To ensure the best utilization of banquet space. To set up and to break down meeting rooms according to specified requirements. Is familiar with the proper operation, set up and control of all equipment.

  • Set up banquet meal functions as prescribed by banquet function sheet.
  • Provide prompt and professional service during banquet meal functions.
  • Provide liquor service by either tending banquet bars or taking drink order.
  • Maintain a clean and orderly workstation at all times.
  • Inform supervisor of any problems and/or guest complaints.
  • Assist other banquet employees when needed.
  • Be neat, well groomed, and in proper uniform.
  • Adhere to policies of the Banquet Department with regard to meals, hours, service, etc.
  • Set up and break down dinner tables, reception tables, and buffet tables after function.
  • Complete all banquet waiter/waitress side work.
  • Knowledge and Skills Required:

  • High school diploma/GED preferred
  • Minimum 18 years of age
  • Previous waitstaff experience a plus
  • Knowledge of catering practices preferred
  • Ability to work quickly and as a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Reliable transportation required
