- Lead environmental coordination for engineering, right-of-way, and public affairs to develop applications and secure the necessary environmental approvals for project construction in a timely manner.
- Develop and implement systems, policies, and procedures to ensure adherence to environmental permits and regulations.
- Manage environmental data and associated databases.
- Oversee compliance with environmental permits, legislation, and company standards.
- Engage effectively with government regulators during the permit acquisition process.
- Prepare and submit statutory reports.
- Research federal and state regulatory requirements as needed.
- Conduct internal audits of environmental management activities.
- Review construction progress and monitor environmental impacts and compliance.
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science or a related discipline; alternatively, relevant work experience will be considered.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in federal and state environmental permitting, with a focus on the oil and gas sector. Louisiana permitting experience is preferred.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team, with strong interpersonal skills.
- Capability to evaluate and clearly communicate both verbal and written technical information.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other applications as required for effective job performance.
