Job summary
The Trauma Registrar is responsible for identifying all admitted and transferred trauma patients abstracting medical records for trauma registry data coding diagnosis procedures by ICD codes and entering data into the trauma registry in a timely and accurate manner.Responsibilities
* Identifies all eligible trauma cases and completes timely abstraction of data into the electronic registry according to American College of Surgeons National Trauma Databank and Texas Department of Health Trauma Registry guidelines.* Collects follow up information for all registry patients and enters information into the trauma registry per established guidelines.* Participates in retrieval and statistical analysis of registry data* Monitors data reports for quality assurance purposes participates on quality committeesBenefits
